These terms are an agreement between you and WhatIQ LLC (“WhatIQ”, “we”). By using WhatIQ you accept them.
What WhatIQ is
WhatIQ is an online test of 24 picture puzzles. It gives an estimate of your IQ on the standard scale, with a percentile and the range your score most likely sits in.
We are still measuring how hard each puzzle is and how scores spread across people, so we will adjust the scoring as more people take the test. A score can differ from the score the same answers would get later.
An estimate, not an assessment
A WhatIQ score is an estimate from one short online sitting. It is not a clinical, psychological or diagnostic assessment and is not given by a psychologist. Do not use it for medical, educational, employment or legal decisions. For those, see a qualified professional.
Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older to take the test.
- Taking the test needs no account and costs nothing; your result comes with membership (below).
Membership and payment
Your result (the score with its range and percentile, the full report and your certificate) comes with membership: $1.99 for the first 24 hours, then $39.99 every 28 days, charged automatically until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars, except in the countries listed below, where you pay a fixed price in your own currency for the first 24 hours and then every 28 days. They include any sales tax or VAT. Elsewhere outside the United States, Stripe may show and charge the dollar price in your own currency at its exchange rate; checkout shows that amount before you pay. Membership also opens every retake, each with new puzzles, and daily brain training (games for reasoning, working memory and attention, with a streak and a level for each skill), on the device you joined from and wherever you sign in with the email you paid with. That email is your account: a sign-in code sent to it opens the account, so keep the inbox to yourself.

The first payment is charged as two payments one right after the other, on the same card and in the same currency, both named at checkout before you pay: in the US, $0.99 when you pay and $1.00 a moment later. Together they are the price shown at checkout. The second one checks that the card can be charged when the membership renews.
Stripe processes payments. The seller is WhatIQ LLC.
Cancel any time at whatiq.com/membership, signed in with a code sent to the email you paid with. Membership then stops renewing and runs to the end of the period you have paid for; cancel within the first 24 hours and you are not charged the renewal price. Results you unlocked stay open after you cancel. We do not refund the part of a 28-day period you have already started.
If your result does not open after you pay, or something we sold you does not work, email help@whatiq.com within 14 days and we will refund that payment. A refunded or disputed first payment locks its result again and ends the membership.
If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Your result opens the moment you pay, so before paying you ask us to open it at once and confirm that you lose the right of withdrawal once it opens. We record that confirmation with your payment. The refund above still applies.
If we change the renewal price, we will tell you before it applies to you; until then your membership renews at the price you joined at. One membership per email.
What you agree to
- Take the test yourself, on your own. Do not have someone else, or software, answer for you.
- Do not use scripts or bots to start tests, answer puzzles or read the site.
- Do not try to find the answers in the site’s code or traffic, get round the time limits, or overload or break the service.
- Do not copy the puzzles in bulk or offer them, or our results, as part of another product.
- Do not present a WhatIQ result as an official or clinical qualification.
We may refuse to start a test, or leave out or delete a test, when it looks automated or breaks these terms.
Your result
Your result is yours to keep and share. Anyone with your result link can see it. The puzzles, the site and its design belong to WhatIQ LLC.
WhatIQ can change
We may change the test, its scoring or its features. Price changes follow the membership section above.
What we cannot promise
We provide WhatIQ as it is, without warranties, as far as the law allows. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors, or that a score is accurate for any one person. Our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Privacy
The privacy page says what we keep when you take the test and who handles it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, where WhatIQ LLC is registered, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Delaware. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version.
